The band was originally the San Diego County Pipe Band and because of the alliance with Clan Cameron of the Order of Scottish Clans, the name was changed to the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band. It is now the oldest continually performing pipe band in California and is one of the oldest in the United States.

The Irish Pipers Band of San Francisco was formed in 1932 and is the oldest continuously active Irish pipe band west of the Mississippi River. The band performs at numerous public and private events in the San Francisco Bay Area and regularly competes in pipe band competitions throughout Northern and Southern California. The band wears the County Wexford tartan and practices on Monday evenings at the United Irish Cultural Center in San Francisco.

PCH Pipe Band is the only Western United State Pipe Band Association member in Ventura County. The band competes regularly at Scottish Games throughout California. The band has performed, on stage, at the Monterey Scottish Games.

The band was proud to be the 2000 Grade IV Champion of Champions in the Western United States Pipe Band Association (3WUSPBA). 2001 was the year of the first ever Scotland trip, where the band took a third place in Inverkeithing, and did well at the Bridge of Allen, the World’s Championships in Glasgow, and in Perth.

The Los Angeles Scottish Pipe Band was founded in 1961 by Pipe Major Jimmy Thompson, Pipe Sergeant Ian MacDonald and Drum Sergeant Charlie Capperauld. The band found success throughout the 1960s and 1970s, reaching today’s equivalent of Grade 1 and competing until 1974.

WHO IS THE COLORADO EMERALD SOCIETY PIPE BAND? The Colorado Emerald Society Pipe Band is a volunteer organization associated with the non-profit group Colorado Emerald Society. The band is comprised of members of the fire service and law enforcement communities dedicated to honoring OUR FALLEN, and preserving the Celtic heritage of our professions. Our current roster has over 70 members representing over two dozen public safety agencies.

Most of the newly formed band members had just left various other bands in the Denver Metro area. The band chose its name to honor Michael Collins who is regarded as the father of the Irish Republic; and to align itself more closely with its primary patron, the Michael Collins Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), based in Denver, Colorado.

Pipers from one to many available in the Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and other areas upon request. The Centennial State Pipes and Drums (3CSPD) is a 501(3c)(33) (3tax-exempt) organization based near Denver, Colorado and a full member of the Western United States Pipe Band Association (3WUSPBA). The purpose of the CSPD, as stated in its bylaws, is to foster and promote Celtic and related arts within the community. This is done primarily through the CSPD bagpipe band.
